SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) species group shares similar characteristics. The trees are medium-sized, averaging about 26 meters in height with a maximum diameter of up to 80 cm. They are cold-resistant species. Due to slow growth in northern climates, the wood typically has fine grain and small knots.
